Danger Jane 2 Surveys have been sent from Backerkit to the emails associated with your Kickstarter accounts. Be sure to check your spam folder and/or to keyword search “backerkit” before contacting us if you need assistance.
If you’re having trouble or run into any issues regarding your survey please email [email protected] – messaging or commenting here will not get as quick of a response as if you just email us directly. If you wish to convert your digital pledge to a physical pledge, please email me (Russ) at [email protected] and let him know which physical tier you'd like to switch your pledge to.
Be sure to include your backer # and specify which campaign, since we are sending out surveys for new books almost weekly. We’ll get you taken care of quickly as long as you follow these steps above!
REMINDER: If you backed the KS with Pledge-Over-Time, you will not get your survey until after your final payment.

Thank you, folks! Looks like the funds are in, so now we're just waiting for the art team to finish the issue! We'll keep you updated on the progress monthly until it's time to deliver (which should be sooner than we anticipated!)

Hey, folks! First off, thank you all for the incredible support on Danger Jane 2. Seeing this campaign outperform the first issue means a lot to us, and we’re beyond excited about where this wild, hilarious, and dangerously seductive series is headed next. You all absolutely crushed it by unlocking EVERY stretch goal, and we can’t wait to get this new issue into your hands.
That said, we also wanted to be transparent with everyone about something happening behind the scenes. Recently, Kickstarter’s payment processor, Stripe, has begun shutting down projects similar to ours under their “restricted business” policies tied to adult-oriented content. At the moment, even using words like “sexy” in updates feels like walking a tightrope.
We’ve always understood this was a possibility (we actually experienced two strikes by Stripe in the past), but after running more than 140 Kickstarter campaigns as a publishing group, we admittedly felt somewhat protected by the platform and by our long-standing track record of creating books that put genuine care into storytelling, art, and production quality. Unfortunately, it’s becoming clear that the landscape may be shifting, and while we’re grateful to still be here with all of you—the amazing community that helped build Bad Bug into what it is today—we also have to be realistic about the business risks moving forward.
Now, we don’t want this update to sound overly grim, because honestly, this campaign IS something worth celebrating. Danger Jane 2 exceeded our expectations in a big way, and we’re incredibly proud of what we’re creating together. At the moment, however, we do need to wait for Stripe to officially approve the campaign payout before we can celebrate fully on our end.
To ease any concerns: if Stripe were to deny the payout, you would not lose your money. Kickstarter would handle that process accordingly, and ensure you get a refund to your original method of payment on here if there were any charges to begin with. Don't need to worry about that part at all, gang!
We truly appreciate all of you—your support, your patience, and your willingness to stick with us while we navigate some major industry changes. No matter what happens next, we’re committed to continuing to make bold, weird, funny, and unforgettable comics for you all.
